I think for most people, we can provide a positive impact to your thinking on the markets by focusing on the long-term. I think short-term comments by definition in a volatile market are best found on other sites that are devoted to short-term trading.

For me this means simply, in the long-term cycle sense, the focus since the start of the current Trump Administration has been that Washington Manipulation over-powers Economics until a level comes where huge unsustainable excesses are reached.

We saw that in the metals and crypto, areas where we rarely get involved but do use as sentiment and analytical inputs for our view on the stock and commodity markets. I have maintained that stocks have better performance when precious metals are not pulling away liquidity. For me hot precious metals are a forecasting tool for bad events, when the bad events happen one generally needs to pull away from them. That is where we are now and have been since the end of January.
