Announcing, the “New Economy Party”…

As I mentioned this past week I am going to move into a new era of my life. Depending on the demographer, I am part of the end of the “Silent Generation” or the beginning of the ‘Boomer Generation”. In any case, the Boomer generation has been a “Privileged” generation, it grew up in a world of tremendous growth, kind of kicked off by the Marshall Plan which picked up from the destruction of WWII and built a new world that spread everywhere from Europe. It was financed by the U.S. That was some 80 years ago.

When that period of economic euphoria, the 26 years between 1947-1973, started cooling and inflation started rearing its ugly head, we saw the “Reagan Revolution” where the elites came up with a plan to maintain their economic level by moving the burden of the country to the mainstream people with “Supply Side Economics”. Next what we saw coming out of that big change was that both primary political parties, the Republicans and the Democrats, both became corrupted and adopted money as the primary motivating factor. The number of poor people running things in Washington these days is relatively small. The Democrats rail against “Citizens United” but in reality, they condone big money in politics also, they just like other sources. Even a stalwart for the poor, Barack Obama, came out of Washington with a big house and a big bank account. His Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner promoted the start of the Bernanke “Funny money craze” that still sits as a backbone to U.S. finances.

And to cap this all off, Donald Trump and the MAGA crowd have piled on the scene and what we are experiencing now is “Magnificent Funny Money”. So. change is needed, I think the solution will not really get legs until the Generation X group become the majority, regardless of Party. The privileged “Boomers” need to become history.

As such, in hopefully coming years, on my website here, I will be posting research on economic and market drivers that I have developed in the last 25 years, the period after my active economic and market involvement between 1970 and 2000. I hope this helps the Gen-X group to have a basis to really change things.
